The tutorial method of learning was introduced and is being used extensively and effectively by the medical profession in England. A small group of premed students gather around a table and discuss patient symptoms, diagnoses and treatment that leads to a cure. The physician is a tutor or facilitator. The students only call on the tutor’s professional advice and proper direction of the interactive discussions.
